Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.
Chimney Company in North Las Vegas, NV
Chimney cleaning in North Las Vegas typically runs $149 to $310 for a standard sweep, and the real issue here usually isn’t creosote. It’s the wind. The Mojave Desert pushes sand, dust, and tumbleweed fragments into flues, and chimneys that sit unused from April through November become entry points for birds and rodents looking for shelter. Our crews work across North Las Vegas, from Aliante to Eldorado, and every job gets a written price before any tool leaves the truck. Call (775) 375-4267 to schedule a sweep or inspection.
Why North Las Vegas Homes Are Different
North Las Vegas is a tale of two housing stocks. The older central and eastern neighborhoods, including the areas around Civic Center Drive and Lake Mead Boulevard, are heavy with ranch-style homes built between the 1960s and 1980s. Those houses almost always have true masonry chimneys with clay flue liners, and the liners are now 40 to 60 years old. The Mojave’s thermal swing, freezing nights followed by 60-degree daytime rises in winter, is exactly the stress pattern that cracks clay. A cracked liner is a carbon monoxide pathway, not a cosmetic issue, which is why we recommend a camera inspection on any older North Las Vegas chimney that hasn’t been looked at in years.
The newer subdivisions north of the 215, places like Aliante, Eldorado, and the master-planned tracts near Deer Springs, tell a different story. Those homes, most built after 2000, wear prefabricated metal chimneys from brands like Olympia Chimney. They need different brushes and different techniques than masonry stacks. Metal flues can’t be wire-brushed the way clay can without scoring the interior, and the clearance-to-combustibles measurements matter in a different way when the framing around the chase is engineered tight.
Then there’s the monsoon season. From July through September, sudden downpours pound the valley. On North Las Vegas homes with older brick chimneys, we see efflorescence, that chalky white mineral staining on the brick face, and spalling where the brick face starts popping off in sheets. The culprit is usually a failed cap or a cracked crown. Neighboring Las Vegas proper has more newer construction with different materials, so this water-damage pattern is a distinctly North Las Vegas problem, and it’s one of the first things we check during any sweep or inspection here.

Our Main North Las Vegas Services
North Las Vegas homeowners call us most about two things: getting a firebox ready before the short winter burn season, and figuring out whether that smoke smell or water stain means a real problem. Each service below has its own dedicated North Las Vegas page with full pricing and details.
Chimney Sweep in North Las Vegas
Most North Las Vegas sweeps are more about clearing blockage than removing heavy creosote. The flue has sat open all summer, and the city’s winds, especially in the spring when 40 mph gusts are normal, push debris straight down the stack. We open the damper, vacuum the smoke shelf, brush the full flue length, and remove any nesting material. Fireplaces that burn only a few months a year still need the same care, because a blocked flue is a blocked flue no matter how little you burn. See Chimney Sweep in North Las Vegas for full pricing and what a sweep includes.

Chimney Inspection in North Las Vegas
An inspection is a camera look inside the flue from top to bottom. On older North Las Vegas masonry chimneys, we’re checking for cracked clay liners, missing mortar joints, and water intrusion from the crown. On newer prefab fireplaces, we’re checking the manufacturer’s clearance requirements and the state of the chimney pipe itself. Every inspection includes a written report with photos, and we don’t recommend repairs we can’t show you on camera. Details on the three inspection levels are on the Chimney Inspection in North Las Vegas page.

What pushes price up in North Las Vegas is almost always access. A two-story chase roof off a steep pitch in a 2000s tract home costs more than a single-story ranch on a flat lot off Lake Mead Boulevard. And water damage, crown work plus a reline, compounds the same way as anywhere else. Whatever the range, the number is in writing before we start.

Most North Las Vegas neighborhoods are on our schedule within two to three business days. During the September-to-November pre-burn push, it can stretch to five. Call (775) 375-4267 and we’ll give you a real window, not a voicemail.
No. Sweeping and inspection are maintenance, not modification, and no HOA in the city requires approval for that. Repairs like a new cap or crown are also typically exempt, but check your CC&Rs if you’re in a gated Aliante or Eldorado community, some have rules about exterior color matching.
We stop, show you the issue on camera, and give you a written amendment to approve before any extra work happens. No work that costs money gets done without your signature on a written price. That’s The Garrison Standard, and it applies to every job we do in North Las Vegas.
