Worth knowing

Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.

The Flint Chimney Co Henderson Guarantee

We’ve been cleaning and repairing chimneys across the Henderson valley since 2002, and we’ve learned one thing the hard way: a guarantee only matters if it’s written down and the company behind it answers the phone. So here’s ours. Every repair we make carries a written guarantee valid for a full year from the service date. If a covered repair fails inside that year, we come back and fix it at no charge. No arguments, no service fees, no fine print about “improper use.” The number on your invoice is the number you approved before we touched anything, and we put it in writing on every single job. That’s the Flint Chimney Co Henderson standard. It’s how Hank Delano has run this shop since day one, and it’s how the Garrison Partners family trained us to operate.

What’s Covered

  • Workmanship on every repair. If our repair fails within 365 days, the second visit is free, period, and that promise is in writing before you pay a dollar.
  • Written pricing before work starts. We hand you the number before we pick up a tool, and the invoice matches that number exactly.
  • Professional-grade materials only. We specify DuraFlex, HeatShield, Gelco, Olympia Chimney, Famco, and Copperfield products by job, not by profit margin, so you can look up exactly what’s going into your chimney.
  • Background-checked, uniformed technicians. You know who’s walking through your door, and you know they’ve been vetted before they got the uniform.
  • Cleanup is part of the job. We don’t leave soot, creosote, or debris behind. Your home looks the way we found it, minus the chimney problem.
  • Live-person phone coverage. Someone answers when you call, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No voicemail trees, no callback forms.

What’s not covered is simple: damage from events we couldn’t foresee and didn’t cause, like a lightning strike to the crown or a tree limb through the cap. If something we repaired fails on its own, that’s on us. If the valley weather tears something up that was fine when we left, that’s a new job and we’ll price it the same honest way.

Our Satisfaction Promise

If you’re not satisfied with a chimney sweep or inspection, tell us within a reasonable window and we’ll come back and make it right. That usually means re-sweeping the flue or re-checking the areas that concerned you. For repairs, the process is even more specific: the 365-Day Done Right Promise is a written guarantee included with every repair, valid for one full year from the service date. If a covered repair fails during that year, we return at no charge and fix it. That’s the entire promise. No deductible, no “diagnostic fee,” no squinting at page seven of a contract. Hank Delano runs Flint Chimney Co Henderson on a simple rule: if it’s not done right, we make it right. That rule is why we can hand you a written guarantee and mean it.

How Much Does a Chimney Sweep Cost in Henderson?

A standard chimney sweep in Henderson typically runs $189 to $349 depending on the flue type, roof access, and how long it’s been since the last cleaning. A Level 1 inspection starts around $129 and a Level 2 inspection, which uses a camera to examine the flue interior, typically runs $249 to $449. We give you the exact written price before we start, so those ranges are just a starting point, not a mystery to solve on the phone. Call (775) 375-4267 and we’ll quote your chimney specifically.

Service Typical Henderson Price Range
Standard chimney sweep $189 – $349
Level 1 inspection $129 – $199
Level 2 camera inspection $249 – $449
Flue relining (replacing the inner liner) $2,800 – $6,500 depending on liner length and material
Chimney cap replacement $180 – $420
Chase cover repair or replacement $350 – $900

Those repair numbers swing with material costs, and we don’t hide that. If you need a DuraFlex stainless liner versus a HeatShield resurfacing job, the price changes and we’ll show you why before you approve anything.

Licensed & Insured Backing

A written guarantee is only as good as the company standing behind it, and the sturdiest thing behind ours is that we’re licensed and insured. That means if something goes wrong on your property, you’re not left holding the bill. Our technicians are background-checked and uniformed, so you know exactly who’s on your roof or kneeling at your hearth. The paperwork matters, but so does the fact that we’ve been operating in Henderson since 2002 under the Garrison Partners family of independently owned chimney service companies. We didn’t just print a guarantee and hope. We built a company that can actually honor it.

Do I Really Need a New Liner?

Maybe. Maybe not. We won’t recommend a flue relining unless the camera inspection shows cracks, gaps, or deterioration that we can show you on the screen with our own eyes. In Henderson, the dry desert air actually helps preserve masonry liners, but older homes in Green Valley and Whitney Ranch often have clay tile liners that cracked decades ago from thermal stress. If the camera shows a crack that’s letting heat or gases reach the chimney structure, the liner needs attention. If the camera shows surface staining but the tile is intact, we’ll tell you it can wait. Every recommendation comes with photo evidence you can see for yourself. Call (775) 375-4267 and we’ll set up a Level 2 inspection if you want certainty before burning season.

How Often Should a Chimney Be Swept?

The National Fire Protection Association standard is once a year, and that’s the right rhythm for Henderson. Even if you only burn fires from November through February, creosote builds up faster in our dry conditions because wood burns hot and fast. A quarter inch of creosote is enough to sustain a chimney fire. If you burn pine or use your fireplace more than three nights a week in season, twice a year is safer. We’ll tell you honestly where you fall after the first sweep and you can set your own calendar from there.

What Actually Happens If I Skip It?

Creosote builds up on the flue walls. Eventually it ignites, and a chimney fire burns hot enough to crack the liner, warp the damper, and in the worst cases, spread into the attic framing. The quieter risk is carbon monoxide. A partially blocked flue can push exhaust back into the living space, and carbon monoxide doesn’t smell. Homes in Anthem and MacDonald Highlands with tight construction are especially prone to backdraft issues. A $200 sweep is cheaper than a $6,000 liner replacement, and it’s simpler than a hospital visit. If you haven’t swept in two years or more, call (775) 375-4267 and get on the schedule before the first cold snap.

Why Our Guarantee Works in Henderson Specifically

Our climate does two things to chimneys: the summer heat can crack chimney crowns through expansion, and the winter temperature swings stress masonry and clay liners. Add in our famous valley wind and you get a lot of chimney caps that loosen, a lot of mortar joints that crumble, and a lot of spark arrestors that tear free. The Garrison Standard, which governs how every Garrison Partners chimney company operates, requires us to check all of these points on every inspection and photograph what we find. Then the Garrison Code requires us to show you those photos and recommend only what they support. That process is why our 365-Day Done Right Promise works here. We’re not guessing at what’s wrong with your chimney. We’re documenting it, fixing it, and standing behind it for a year.

If you want a chimney company that puts its promises in writing and answers the phone at 2 a.m. when a February windstorm rips your cap off, call (775) 375-4267. Hank Delano and the team at Flint Chimney Co Henderson will give you a written price, do the job with professional-grade materials, and guarantee the repair for a full year. That’s not a sales pitch. That’s just how we’ve operated since 2002.
